Concept Art: Cancer-Bat

These are the little cancer-bats that chase Billy through the clouds.

First rough animatic

Here is my first pass at storyboards. I like to do small thumbnails on lined binder paper (the same stuff we all used from grade to high school) and then the actual storyboards I use blank 8.5 x 11 printer paper for each board.

The storyboards end right after Billy grows his hair back and is about to fight the cancer bats. After that, its just thumbnails.

Pre-Production: First post

Hello, my name is Andrew Riding and this is the production blog for my master's thesis currently titled, Waking Reverie. It's the story of a little boy's metaphysical battle with cancer in the realm of his own imagination.

I will log all of my progress, from the first storyboard to the final render on this site, updating it every day.

Within the next few days, I plan to upload some concept art and some storyboards.

Well, here it goes...let the pre-production begin!
