Waking Reverie is reborn as Waking Warrior

I've decided to create a graphic novel based on my MFA student film, Waking Reverie. Rechristened as Waking Warrior, Chris will return in his epic battle against the relentless cancer. 

Here is my first cover concept:

Color Test (3-10)

Rough Animation, WR 1-04

Rough pencil test of Scene 1-04; I still need to add some more in-betweens to the main character as well as some key frames to the cancer. Hopefully, by tomorrow.

Titles (clean-up)

This is a clip of the title sequence with clean-up animation. I decided to add the effects during the ink and paint stage, so don't worry if it looks boring; this is only a taste of what's to come.

Pencil Renders

Pencil renders done with blue Col-Erase. Love those pencils; it's like a pen and a brush in one!

New layouts for scene 1

 

 

This is a new shot I created to take place after Chris gets pulled down by the shadows. We'll see his teddy bear fall and then zoom into the bear's eye. From there we'll see him getting pulled toward the beast. 

Layout for Scene 1-1

Line drawing for my layout of Scene 1-1. Took about 3 hours to draw...maybe I can play around with some Maya shaders. Until then, it's by hand.
